At Agenda Aaj Tak 2025, Aamir Khan shared his unique philosophy on filmmaking, asserting that passion and conviction, rather than just capital, are the true drivers of cinematic success. He admitted that the stories he is drawn to are often complex and challenging, leading him toward risky projects despite occasional forays into more commercial ventures like "Dhoom 3" and "Ghajini."

Khan recalled facing significant doubt for films like "Lagaan," with advisors like Javed Akhtar warning him of potential failure. Despite these concerns, his belief in the compelling narrative propelled these projects forward, underscoring his commitment to stories that resonate with him personally. He emphasized that his core responsibility is to entertain, providing audiences with enjoyment rather than didactic lessons.

While acknowledging that his films frequently explore strong social themes, Khan clarified that social commentary is not his primary agenda. Instead, he is guided by the powerful writing and cinematic strength of the scripts. He concluded that a film's success is ultimately achieved by a dedicated team that passionately believes in and executes a shared vision, making films through 'madness' rather than mere funding.
