A24 has appointed a new producer to its London-based senior team, including Laura Lankester and Will Johnston. This hire is intended to significantly grow the studio's global television output, complementing the leadership of UK operations by Piers Wenger and Rose Garnett.
The newly appointed producer previously worked at See-Saw Films, where they led the in-house label Fanboy. They are recognized as the lead producer for the Emmy-winning Netflix hit Heartstopper, which has already completed three seasons and is set for a feature-length finale this year.
Additional producing credits include the Sky Atlantic/Starz series Sweetpea, currently in post-production for its second season, and Apple TV+'s The Essex Serpent. Prior to these, they contributed to the development of series such as The North Water and Slow Horses.
A24's upcoming UK TV slate features anticipated shows like Major Players, The Husbands, and Leo Reich's It Gets Worse. The lineup also includes Michaela Coel's First Day On Earth and Alice Birch's The Ministry of Time, alongside existing series such as Dreaming Whilst Black and Such Brave Girls.
The studio's broader spring television schedule highlights the upcoming season of Euphoria on HBO and Beef on Netflix. Notably, A24 recently launched its first unscripted series, Neighbors, on HBO, which achieved record viewership for an unscripted series on the platform.
