90210 Star Recalls 'Horribly Difficult' Set Environment

Kathleen Robertson, who joined the cast of Beverly Hills, 90210 in its fourth season, has spoken about the challenging on-set atmosphere. The Canadian star confessed that the environment on the world's biggest show at the time was "super intimidating" and far from "warm and fuzzy" for newcomers. Robertson experienced significant tension within the cast, which included prominent actors of the era.

Adding to the stressful experience, Robertson recalled a disturbing discovery in the makeup trailer: continuity Polaroids of herself were found sliced in half. She suspects the makeup artists cut them to spare her from witnessing the discord. Despite the difficulties, Robertson maintained that some co-stars, like Tori Spelling, were very welcoming.

Robertson, who later starred in seasons 6 and 7, eventually felt compelled to leave the series, realizing it was crucial for her career. She noted that the experience informed her understanding of how difficult it is for new people to integrate into tense work environments. This comes as murmurs about cast divisions on the show have persisted over the years.
