A highly anticipated sequel to the cult classic '3 Idiots' is reportedly in development, reuniting lead actors Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. The original film, released nearly 15 years ago, remains a cherished piece of Indian cinema history, known for its blend of humor, emotion, and meaningful storytelling.
Sources suggest the script for the follow-up has been finalized, with the narrative set to pick up approximately 15 years after the characters' paths diverged in the original film's conclusion. This continuation aims to recapture the unique magic that made the first installment so successful.
Director Rajkumar Hirani has reportedly shifted his focus from a planned Dadasaheb Phalke biopic to developing the '3 Idiots' sequel.
