The genre script 'Every House Is Haunted,' originally acquired by Netflix in 2021, has been sold to 20th Century Studios. The project, based on Ian Rogers' short story "The House on Ashley Avenue," was penned by Jason Pagan and Andrew Deutschman.
Filmmakers Adam Schindler and Brian Netto, acclaimed for their recent Netflix thriller 'Don't Move,' are now attached to direct. They will also provide their own pass on the script. This new directorial team takes over from Corin Hardy, who was previously attached.
The narrative centers on an insurance investigator tasked with debunking claims of a haunted house. However, his skepticism is challenged by a psychic and increasingly strange occurrences he witnesses firsthand.
Producing the film are Sam Raimi and Zainab Azizi for Raimi Productions, alongside Roy Lee and Andrew Childs for Vertigo Entertainment. Ian Rogers and Starlight Media, who initially optioned the source material, are executive producing.
J.R. Young is overseeing the project for 20th Century Studios, reporting to President Steve Asbell. Schindler and Netto's recent thriller 'Don't Move' achieved significant success on Netflix's global chart. They are currently in post-production on another thriller, 'Nightwatching,' starring Mila Kunis.
