20 Oct, 2025
Summary
- 25-year-old TikToker criticized Sombr's "vulgar" jokes, "cringe" stage presence, and "terrible" singing and dancing
- Sombr, 20, says he respects opinions but calls it a "skill issue" for a 25-year-old to complain about younger fans at his concert
- Sombr says the "Slenderman" comment sparked a "massive body-shaming hate train" against him

In a recent development, 20-year-old artist Sombr has addressed the polarizing remarks of a 25-year-old TikToker who attended one of his live performances. According to the TikToker's "rant", she was not charmed by Sombr's "vulgar" jokes, "cringe" stage presence, and "terrible" singing and dancing, despite being a fan of the musician going into the show. The disgruntled concertgoer even went as far as to say she wouldn't advise anyone "over the age of 16" to buy a ticket to see Sombr, whom she compared to "Slenderman".
In response, Sombr told his followers that he "totally respects people having opinions", but pointed out that as a 20-year-old artist, it's unreasonable for a 25-year-old to expect his audience to be exclusively older than them. He called the "Slenderman" comment the start of "a massive body-shaming hate train" against him, emphasizing that "everyone is welcome" at his concerts.
Despite the criticism, Sombr is currently gaining fans at a rapid pace. After breaking through with his hit "Back to Friends", the young musician recently reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Songwriters chart.
